Powered by 4 “AA” cells (Not Included). Requires reflective area on a non reflective surface. Includes soft storage pouch.

Digital Photo Laser Tachometer
I purchased this optical unit in order to verify my pulse tach readings on my boat motor. It did what it was supposed to, and verified that I was receiving accurate readings on my pulse meter. The unit is simple to use point and press the button. Ive not had the need to use it for anything else but it has become part of my motor troubleshooting kit. an excellent product for the price.
 
Drains Batteries
The item functions nicely, but it drains the life out of batteries... On 3 separate occasions, I put new batteries in it, used it for 30 seconds, and put it away... The next time I went to use it... within a month..., the batteries were dead. I thought that maybe it was stored with the test button pressed in, so I recently decided to hang it on a hook by the strap after new batteries... Same result! Batteries are expensive, and its not practical to remove them after each use since the battery cover is a screw-shut type.
